Welcome to our home/business after the storm - be careful where you step.

December 13, 2006
Tree from neighbors hits the outbuilding. Our home is in the background - Pam watched the tree fall from the kitchen window only feet from the damage.
After the tree was removed here is the damage from the inside of the building.
This is the same tree - it landed up on the roof and the top broke and fell on the other side of the breezeway.
December 14/15, 2006 - This storm was reported to have Category I Hurricane winds - we woke up to the mess of 13 large trees on our property. This photo is taken from the pool looking back at the living room and our bedroom is to the left.
This photo is taken from the same location as before - but looking to the base of where the large tree fell over the pool. Damage to the wooden fence and the safety fence around the pool.
This is the same tree above - looking the other direction showing where the top of the tree landed. Missing the pump house - but going through the wooden fence.
This is a limp which torpedoed into the hot tub cover  - it went all the way through to water.
This photo is taken from the deck next to the pool looking toward the garage where the first tree fell on Wednesday. The tree here is the one that clipped the living room and just missed our bedroom.
This is that same tree showing how it landed next to the deck outside our bedroom. The top of this tree was touching the glass in our bathroom - but didn't break it!!!!
This is one tree blocking the driveway. In the distance you can see two more large trees blocking the emergency access road.
This showed the tops of the three trees on top of the outbuilding. You can see the tarps on the right where the damage was from the night before.
This photo is taken from the same point as the photo above - but looking behind the garage. This tree came down and would have flanked the other tree that was removed the day before - and would have caused more damage. Later I'll show the base of this tree - it just missed the propane tank - but it did go over the boat. This also went through the fence in two places.
This photo is taken from inside the garage showing one of the trees coming through.
This is another photo from inside the garage.
This is where another tree hit photo inside the garage.
This photo is taken on the other side of the garage showing the three trees on top of the building. The carport broke and fell on top of the car causing damage.
If you look the photo above, I walked to the right of the car and this photo is taken from the other side looking back at the car.
From the same place that the above photo was taken I turned and took this photo. This is the same tree that is in the backyard off the kitchen. Here is the boat and the propane tank - I am thankful it chose the boat and not the propane tank....
Here is this same tree again looking back at where it fell - and you can see that if the other tree were still there from the day before how it would have flanked it.
Here is the garage from a distance you can see the trees on the roof - and Matt trying to work the situation.
This photo was taken from our bedroom looking out to the backyard. The board you see if from the roof above the living room.
This is also taken from our bedroom. Looking out onto the sundeck by the pool. I couldn't get the door open - so there is a reflection in the glass. This is just about 5 feet from where we sleep!!

The Clean-up! (Posted December 26, 2006)

More pictures of the pool.
It's HUGE!
It just missed the diving board, but
did a number on the safety fence!
You can see the deck now!
The second driveway is filled with tree debris. - Thank you to Leisa & Kelly for all their hard work!!!! We've also had help from our neighbors and my loving husband Matt!
Kelly is buried in the bushes!
Hunter is even working with his wheelbarrow!

I don't know what we'd do without our friend Tony Moran - he's the best tree guy around! He's finally got the tree off the pool and all the trees off the outbuilding. The insurance people have been here - and the contractor who will be scheduling the work for us. We hope to be back up and running normally again soon. At least we can walk around our house again now! It's raining in our bedroom - but that will some day pass also.

This is the root ball of two trees that fell and uplifted the drain field.
Matt is 6' tall, and he is standing in the hole that the trees left!

The warehouse is getting a new roof!!!!!!

February 1, the roof and damaged trusses are removed.
February 2, the new trusses are delivered  and the new roof is being built!
The guys are working hard.
We hope the roof gets on before the rain comes!

February 26, 2007 and the main house is getting the roof replaced!!!! A crew of 8 men working - thankfully the skies look good and no rain expected, but it is cold out!
Hunter is in his jammies ready for nap time - he has baby and his "jewelry" on but he wanted to "inspect" the work before attempting a nap with all the hammering!
This is a photo out our bedroom window - looking toward the living room. It is knee deep in old shingles from the roof.
