Shipping

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) announced a 8% surcharge on shipping services, including Priority Mail and Ground Advantage, effective April 26, 2026, due to rising transportation costs. We adjusted our rates accordingly. Thank you for your understanding.

We make shipping easy for you. We ship through the United States Postal Service (usps.com). We do not offer curb side pick up. All orders are shipped from our location.

Product Packaging / Recycling

We are earth conscious and want to respect our planet with our shipping supplies and still make it affordable for you and arrive safely. We ship all packages using the United States Postal Service. We do not add additional plastic to your order unless you select that option at checkout. We ship goods in plastic envelopes and cardboard boxes which are recyclable once the label and tape is removed. The plastic may need to be taken to your local grocery for recycling, and the cardboard can go in your curbsite recycling.  We cannot be responsible for how your package is handled once it leaves our facility, and we hope that your package arrives at your destination in the same condition as it left our facility.

Domestic Shipping/Handling

We have one rate for domestic orders that covers shipping and handling. The cost with the new 8% surcharge is $12.15. We are trying to keep this as low as possible for you, and also stay in business.

If you order more merchandise than what it costs us to ship it, please consider this a discount. If you place an order and wish to add to your order prior to it shipping, we will do our best to accommodate that request if it will fit into the same size shipping container. If you order presale items, the full order will be held until it can ship complete. If you want in-stock items to come sooner place your presale orders separately. We reserve the right to ship the best way possible. Please do not ask us to adjust our ship pricing as our shipping/handling price is part of our overall pricing strategy. This works for us, and we want to stay in business. Your understanding is appreciated.

Because we are on the West Coast, we miss the shipping deadlines to offer Express Mail. 

International Shipping/Handling

We are happy to work with you to maximize your shipping dollar.

With that said, we want to explain how our shopping cart charges you and how we remedy the situation. The United States Priority Flat Rate envelope can hold up to approx. 9 yards of regular cotton fabric. Flannel is bulkier so we cannot fit as much in. We are required to stay under 4 pounds of weight in each flat rate envelope. Different fabrics weigh more/less, and pricing per yard can vary from $1.99 per yard up to over $16.00 per yard.

The shopping cart is set up to charge by the dollar amount you have in your shopping cart. As an example, if you purchase 9 yards of full priced fabric 9 yards at $12 = $108 the shipping calculator on our site will be much different than 9 yards of $4.99 per yard fabric = $44.91. We assume that it is sale fabric for our algorithm. In this example, if you are buying the $14 fabric you will be charged more yet it will fit nicely into one envelope, and we automatically issue you a refund back for the additional shipping amount. What we are avoiding is someone purchasing 21 yards of $4.99 fabric which would total $104.79 and then we cannot fit that all into one flat rate envelope because they only hold 9 yards. International (Other)

International customers are responsible for any additional customs fees or taxes if applicable in their country. Please do not ask us to be dishonest on customs forms. We put the value you pay for actual goods on the form (minus shipping costs). We will not mark it "gift" as there are monies exchanged, and we value our integrity. All money is in United States Dollars. International customers must order and pay through the website, and we do not offer orders to be picked up by freight forwarders.

If you order bulky items like flannel we may need to ask you to pay more for shipping. We will give you the option to pay more or to cancel your order.

International first class no longer accepts "merchandise", it is for documents only (patterns). Fabric must ship priority mail, so we only offer Priority Mail options. Please do not ask us to be dishonest on a government document.
